On Monday, Day 248 of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinians in the destroyed, starved, and besieged Gaza Strip, Israeli missiles and shells killed and injured dozens of Palestinians, including women and children, in several parts of the coastal enclave.
Many Palestinians, including children, were killed and injured, when the army fired a missile at a home in the western area of the Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the army fired missiles at tents of displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area, causing several casualties.
Medical sources at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, said five slain Palestinians and thirty wounded, including women and children, were moved to the medical center, after the army fired many missiles and shells at Rafah, especially its western area, in Gaza’s southmost part.
Sources at the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, in central Gaza, said three Palestinians, two children and their father, were also killed when the army fired a missile at a home for the At-Telbani family in the Zawaida area in central Gaza. The three have been identified as Hisham Telbani, and his children, Reham and Mos’ab.
Also, at least three Palestinians were killed and five were injured when the army fired a missile at a home in the Al-Khawalda area, in central Gaza.
Casualties were also reported in several parts of the western area of the Gaza Strip’s central district.
In Gaza City, at least three Palestinians were killed and four were injured when the Israeli army fired a missile at a home for the Sheldan family in the Sabra neighborhood.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, stated that its fighters detonated a home where Israeli soldiers were fortified, in the Shaboura refugee camp, in Rafah, and added that its fighters also targeted with mortars another group of soldiers who rushed to the property after it was detonated, causing several deaths and injuries.
In its statement, Al-Qassam also said that its fighters fired mortars at soldiers stationed in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood and around the Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah.
It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) issued a statement condemning the Israeli army’s use of an aid truck, Saturday, to commit the Nusseirat refugee camp massacre, on Saturday, in which the army killed 274 Palestinians, including 64 children and 57 women, and injured more than 700, mostly women and children.
It added that the army bombarded the densely populated refugee camp, targeted ambulances and medics, and added that Israel’s attack was a War Crime and a Crime Against Humanity, especially since the army used humanitarian aid trucks during the commission of the massacre.
The PRCS called for holding Israel accountable for its seriously escalating crimes and violations, especially the massacres of civilians, in clear violations of International Law and International Humanitarian Law.
In related news, the United Nations Security Council adopted an American-proposed resolution for a ceasefire plan that aims at “ending the war on Gaza”, Al-Jazeera English said.
Al-Jazeera added that after the UN vote, Hamas expressed willingness to work with the mediators to negotiate indirectly on how to implement these principles.

However, Israel said it remains “committed to its goals of freeing the [Israeli] captives in the Gaza Strip and the destruction of Hamas’s governing and military capabilities in Gaza,” and added that Tel Aviv wants to ensure that Hamas “never poses a threat to Israel in the future.”
In a statement that challenges the resolution, Israeli UN representative Reut Shapir Ben Naftaly said if Hamas wants the war to end it must disarm and surrender.
“Once these goals are met, the war will end. Not one more shot needs to be fired yet, sadly, for the past eight months, Hamas has refused,” Al-Jazeera pouted the Israeli official, and added that she said, “Israel will not engage in meaningless and endless negotiations, which can be exploited by Hamas as a means to stall for time,”
“As we have echoed several times in this very chamber, once these goals are met, the war will end,” she added, noting that 120 remain held by Hamas.

The Israeli ambassador did not mention the thousands of Palestinian detainees, including women and children, who remain held captive by Israel, facing ongoing violations, or the detainees who died due to torture, abuse, and the lack of medical treatment.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the Israeli army committed five massacres, Monday, killing at least 40 Palestinians and injuring more than 218.
Israel has now killed at least 37,124 Palestinians and injured more than 84,712, mostly women, children, and elderly, in addition to the thousands who remain under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, on destroyed streets and in alleys, across the coastal enclave, since October 7, 2023.
The numbers do not include the thousands of missing Palestinians, mostly buried under the rubble, or those killed on destroyed streets and in bombarded alleys, across the coastal enclave, as the medics and rescue teams, remain unable to reach many areas, while the siege, massive destruction, and the lack of fuel are also restricting search and rescue efforts.
